About Me
Hi! My name is Garrett Howard, and I am a filmmaker and creative based in Denver and the Kansas City area. My filmmaking journey began in high school, where I collaborated with my brother and other creatives to start a YouTube channel (linked at top of page) which has now accumulated nearly 300,000 views and 850 subscribers. I was also a student of the e-Communications 21st Century program, where I learned skills in graphic design, web design, animation, broadcast, and video production. With these skills I was able to create award winning projects early in my career. I have worked primarily as a cinematographer for many independent short films, music videos, commercials, and a feature film. In 2025 I graduated from the film program at the Community College of Aurora (formerly known as the Colorado Film School) with an A.A.S in Cinematography/Videography. There I gained on-set experience and learned the ins and outs of various lighting and camera equipment. I worked on multiple festival-selected films, and gained certifications in editing software such as Davinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro. I’m always pushing myself creatively and looking to explore different visual styles in my work. I enjoy collaborating with other creatives and meeting new people, let’s work together!
